It's that time of year, no not my birthday,(eventhough its coming up on this Wednesday)I'm talking about prom! This year my husband's cousin Travis and nephew Antonio are juniors in high school and last Saturday they went to the prom. Antonio missed his prom for PHS so he went to Travis' prom which was held at the Officer's club on the base. The day started with us going to pick up Travis' tux at Rein's. He had to do one last fitting before he took the tux home. We had to run a few errands which including picking up Big & Little Marcus and buying dress socks. We ended back at my mother-in-law's house for the boys to get dressed, but before they got cleaned up, my husband wanted our car to get dressed up first.
Oh, by the way, we finally replaced the Lexus (to read full story on the death of our beloved car, scroll down to the bottom of the blog under "Great balls Of Fire"!) Here's the "new" car, it's a Lincoln Ls that has a V8 engine that is hungry for gas...ugh..
The guys tried to squeeze a little basketball in, but the prom was about to start in an hour so it was time to start showers.
Marcus helped the guys get ready.
At first they seemed a little uncomfortable with me taking pictures after they got dressed, but as you will see they got over it. Yep, the swag was officially turned on...
We took them out to the base and arrived about 45 minutes late because we spent about 20 minutes trying to find the Officer's Club and once we found it and realized there wasn't too many people there I took some more pics.
