Sunday at The Landing

April 18th Marcus Sr was off from work and we decided to walk down to The Jacksonville Landing for lunch. We took the route through Hemming Plaza straight down to the Landing.
This is a very small portion of First Baptist Church-I call it "big money, heavy weight." A local told Marcus Sr that this church only accepts tithes through automated direct deposit from your checking account.
A shipping and receiving dock?! What happened to just having a roof, some seats, a pastor, and a bible? Make that money First Baptist, make that money.

That bridge looking thing is where the Skyway runs. The skyway is like a train that runs through downtown (check out my next post, because we rode it).
Still on our street.
Here's Hemming Plaza again.

Jacobs!

We made it to The Landing. If you notice the sign is backwards because it is facing the river. The back side is a riverfront where boats coming to dock and eat/shop. So the sign is lit up a night facing the river.
We ate at a mexican restaurant Cinco De Mayo
Check out the view!
Hooters is next door.

We heard that there are a lot of free concerts on that stage during the summer-can't wait!

He was just itching to get into that water!
Here's my gym...haven't quite made it there yet....
