CONGRATS MIKE!
I got married back in September of '07 and we had four groomsmen. One was my brother, the other my brother-in-law, and the other two are good friends of Marcus. Marcus friends are very talented artists that have a solid future ahead of them (not saying that our brothers don't) and I am so excited for the both of them. I featured one of their songs in a previous slideshow. If you attended my wedding then you should remember the guy in this video-he sung as I walked down the "aisle." He entered a contest for Slip-n-Slide records down in Miami a few weeks ago...well...lets just say that he did very well...Just check out the video.(He's contestant #3)
Congrats Mike!!

My Weekend
Wow, its been a week already! Last Saturday was Valentine's Day for everyone except me. What's Valentine's Day? On February 14th I am always celebrating my husband's birthday...bummer right? Not so much. I actually enjoy celebrating his birthday instead of Valentine's Day. I think he's started a tradition of throwing a birthday party every year. One year he had two-one at the Blue Bar and the other at The Portofino...yeah, that was the year I got a barbecue grill for my birthday...seriously. Anyway, here are some photos from our weekend. I had alot of pictures so I decided to compile them into the slideshow below. I'm still trying to find a better slideshow to use so bare with me.
*The song on the slideshow is by Boneface featuring Mike Bless i think it's called "Like The Stars"-I'll find out and correct it later.* To hear more of Boneface's music check him out on myspace- www.myspace.com/49584418

WIPE ME DOWN...
Roy Jones Jr
Fox (rapper on the song "Wipe Me Down")
Well..not really! Marcus and I made a rare appearance last Friday night at Club Dimensions for Roy Jones Jr's birthday celebration. My mom watched Marcus Jr for us-thanks mom. Its still kind of weird for me to go out to a club and be a "guest" and not be behind the scenes, but Marcus has a few projects coming up. Marcus ran into a few of his friends and hopefully we will see them this weekend for his birthday party. So the rapper Fox is basically known for his song "Wipe Me Down." He tried to avoid performing that song until the end but the dj put it on sooner than he wanted-he gained the crowd's attention and after his not so famous verse on the song people began to kind of wonder off. He had a few decent songs and he performed longer than I expected. I always have my camera with me so here a few pics from the night...

I was absolutely worn out-i can't hang like I use to, but it was nice to get out-I'm looking forward to Marcus' party this weekend, and hopefully I'll be posting the pic of me and Marcus soon.

He won the battle...
The last couple of days have been cloudy and even rainy, so since the sun was out today, I decided to do a short session with my 3 year old Marcus Jr. For Christmas we bought him the cutest little Radio Flyer tricycle that he prefers to push instead of sit on. I've always wanted to take some photos of him with it. I got him dressed and we went on the side of my house and instantly there was a problem. He did not want to take any photos-at all. I placed him on the bike and he began to cry, kick, and scream. I realized that he thought I was taking his plastic golf club bag away from him which contained his most prized possession-his cars. So I began to utilize it and told him to pour his cars in the back of the bike and he was all for it.
He got back on the bike and handed me his golf bag. Just when I thought things were going smoothly an airplane flew over the house. He absolutely loves airplanes. So he jumped off the bike and began pointing and trying to show me the plane. I was able to sneak a smile out of him while talking to him about the plane.
I quickly reminded him that his cars were in the bike and asked him to sit on it and ride. Surprisingly he did, but only for a few seconds. He started to get frustrated because it was too hard to pedal in the grass. I started singing some of his favorite songs from Yo Gabba Gabba and he began to sing along forgetting his frustrations...for a moment...
The singing didn't last long and eventually he started to cover his face. I kept asking him to look at me and say cheese, but he only replied with a head shake and a "no thank you," from behind his covered face.
So, he may have won the battle today, but little does he know this is far from over. Why, because his dad is off this weekend and dad doesn't play...

LEXI
Can you believe it's February already?? Well, as you all may know my website launched last month and my dog Gotti, who was introduced previously in my blog had his picture placed on the site. At first I wasn't going to put him on there, but a few people kept suggesting that I add his photo. So I did. Now, there's been a campaign and even a threat of a petition for me to add my other dog Lexi. Lexi is my first dog. I received her when I was sixteen and she is currently living with my parents. Not because I don't want her, but when I moved out after high school my mom wanted me to leave her at home to ensure that Lexi would receive the attention she needed and not be alone in my apartment while I attend school, work, and go out. Lexi will be 9 years old this year and she is still, as my mom says, "smarter than a fifth grader." Seriously, you can't get anything pass her. She is always the one in control, you have to do things on her terms, and if she thinks that something belongs to her no matter what it is-a towel, a shoe, or even a radio(lol)-it IS hers, trust me, don't even try to convince her otherwise. She will let you know when and if you can even pet her and if its not the time you better move fast. I've owned four pitbulls and the only dog that has ever snapped at me or bit me (knock on wood) is her. On the otherhand, Lexi can be so sweet. When its okay with her, she loves to be rubbed and curl up on you. She taps your lap and gives you the most innocent eyes when she wants your food. She will protect the ones she loves, eventhough she's afraid of flies. So, Lexi, if I hurt your feelings by not including your photo-I apologize and today I will set things right by adding your picture.
Please Forgive me:)
